The unit applies to individuals who are senior marketing professionals responsible for providing strategic direction to the marketing function of an organisation. Their responsibilities include analysing information on internal and external business and marketing environment; examining current marketing performance; identifying new marketing opportunities arising from emerging trends; and devising a marketing strategy. Individuals operating at this level generally conduct these activities using information gathered by people working under their direct and indirect supervision at lower levels of the organisation.

Domestic Students must:

  1. be a minimum of 18 yrs. of age
  2. minimum of Year 12 (Higher School Certificate) or equivalent; and
  3. Hold BSB52415 Diploma of Marketing and Communications, or
  • Hold the following units (or equivalent competencies):
  • BSBMKG541 Identify and evaluate marketing opportunities
  • BSBMKG542 Establish and monitor the marketing mix
  • BSBMKG552 Design and develop marketing communication plans
  • BSBMKG555 Write persuasive copy; and
  • BSBPMG430 Undertake project work; or
  • Have 4 years equivalent work experience
  1. Access to a laptop or tablet for home and classroom use

VSL Students

  1. Be a minimum of 18 yrs. of age
  2. Year 12 (Higher School Certificate) or equivalent; or
  3. Certificate IV from any training package; or
  4. Complete LLN test to ACSF Level 3 under supervision at IHBC campus; and
  5. Hold BSB52415 Diploma of Marketing and Communications, or
  6. Access to a laptop or tablet for home and classroom use

International Students must:

  1. Be a minimum of 18 yrs. of age
  2. Minimum of Year 12 (Higher School Certificate) or equivalent; and
  3. Hold BSB52415 Diploma of Marketing and Communications, or
  • Hold the following units (or equivalent competencies):
  • BSBMKG541 Identify and evaluate marketing opportunities
  • BSBMKG542 Establish and monitor the marketing mix
  • BSBMKG552 Design and develop marketing communication plans
  • BSBMKG555 Write persuasive copy; and
  • BSBPMG430 Undertake project work; or
  • Have 4 years equivalent work experience
  1. Have an IELTS or equivalent score of 5.5 with no less than 5.0 in any band and
  2. Access to a laptop or tablet for home and classroom use
