An understanding of the prevention and control of infection is essential in a large variety of workplaces. This micro credential is for anyone with a responsibility for infection prevention and control at work.
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to undertake work activities in compliance with organisational procedures that prevent and control infection.
This unit involves implementing standard and transmission-based precautions, identifying infection hazards, and assessing and responding to infection risks.
The unit is suitable for all workers required to undertake their activities in compliance with the infection prevention and control procedures in place in their workplace.
On successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment. Transfer the skills towards a full qualification or a set of job ready skills.
Commitment: Training – 27 hours | Assessment – 3 hours
