This Skill Set covers the skills and knowledge required to:

  • determine, administer and maintain resources and equipment to complete a variety of tasks;
  • select and use software and organise electronic information and data;
  • recognise and interact productively with diverse groups of individuals in the workplace;
  • gather information and support effective relationships and networks, with particular regard to communication and representation;
  • work cooperatively with others and deal effectively with issues, problems and conflict;
  • identify and implement ways of promoting innovation within team environments in the workplace;
  • understand work health and safety (WHS) laws, and comply with them in one’s own workplace.

 

This Skill Set involves:

  • responding to and working effectively with individual differences that might be encountered during the course of work.

This Skill Set is suitable for individuals who:

  • apply a broad range of competencies in various work contexts. They may exercise discretion and judgement using appropriate theoretical knowledge of business resources and their basic maintenance to provide some technical advice and support to a team;
  • use a limited range of practical skills with a fundamental knowledge of equipment use and the organisation of data in a defined context, under direct supervision or with limited individual responsibility;
  • work in a variety of contexts where they will be expected to interact with diverse groups of individuals. They may also provide some leadership and guidance to others and have some limited responsibility for the output of others;
  • use leadership skills to support the development of teams and help facilitate communication between team members;
  • perform a range of routine tasks in a team environment and use a basic knowledge of teamwork in a defined context, under direct supervision or with limited individual responsibility;
  • are team participants or team leaders responsible for playing a proactive role in demonstrating innovation in a formal or informal team environment;
  • contribute to compliance with WHS laws as part of their WHS responsibilities, which are in addition to their main duties

On successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment. Transfer the skills towards a full qualification or a set of job ready skills.

Commitment: Training – 224 hours | Assessment – 21 hours
